Hi to HKS Motor Shop, I have had a few of the Jaguar X Type Diesels, I have had to put clutches in two and they seem to suffer from injector problems, I also had a drive shaft fall out of one, that said it doesn't deter me from buying them as they are a lot of car for the money and will return 60+ MPG, they do have a lot of Ford Mondeo similarities not least of which is that they are built on the Mondeo wheelbase, the 2.0 is arguably a bit underpowered with the 2.2 being favoured over it, we have to remember that the Jaguar is not a boy racers car so the 2.0 power and economy will be more than adequate for most people, an amusing fact also is that the 2.0 Diesel lump in the Jag is the same engine that is fitted to the Ford Transit!
